B-Spec Fiesta
The B-car segment represents one of the fastest growing segments in the auto industry. B-cars include the Ford Fiesta, Mazda 2, Honda Fit, Fiat 500 and other sub-compact cars. In racing circles, B-Spec refers to all cars meeting a common set of rules that can be adopted by any race circuit or sanctioning organization. B-Spec will feature showroom stock racing cars utilizing stock engines and chassis, fitted with a competition roll cage, racing seat and other safety equipment, and manufacturer-approved suspension components. Sanctioning bodies are determined to balance performance among competing manufacturers to promote good, close racing.
Capaldi Racing brings almost 30 years of experience racing Fords and Ford-based cars to the B-Spec equation, and the team is no stranger to small Fords. Capaldi Racing campaigned a Cougar and a Focus in the SCCA World Challenge TC class and helped Ford Racing launch the Spec Focus Series – and going on to win three National Championships. Given of our knowledge of and experience racing small Fords, we were proud to have been asked to work with Ford Racing to support development work on the B-Spec Fiesta package.
