American Iron™ is a race series that calls to mind the legendary battles of the 1960's when champions competed against each other to win stoplight and drive-in bragging rights for their brand of choice.
American Iron™ provides a forum where domestic "ponycars" such as Ford Mustangs, Chevrolet Camaros, and Pontiac Firebirds can challenge each other equipped with the finest performance products that tuners and manufacturers have in their arsenals.
The Series offers competitors three classes, Camaro Mustang Challenge (CMC), American Iron (AI) and American Iron Extreme (AIX). The American Iron Series visits the nation's finest courses and features some of the finest big-bore racing in the United States. All three series meet at the NASA National Championships presented by Toyo Tires in September to crown a national champion. Spec Iron - New for 2013
The Spec Iron class (SI) is a road racing class under the umbrella of the American Iron Racing series which is a road racing series featuring American “ponycars”. The American Iron Spec Iron class was created to provide racers with the best value in amateur level road racing by combining the thunder and excitement of American style pony cars with the best possible reliability and durability of the racing platform. Camaro-Mustang Challenge

NASA's CMC series gives its members a place to race V-8 powered Camaros, Firebirds, and Mustangs that are evenly matched in both power and handling.
CMC grids 79-present Ford Mustangs and 82-2002 Chevrolet Camaros and Pontiac Firebirds in an exciting driver's challenged series. Within CMC there are two classes: CMC and CMC-2, with CMC-2 allowing the newer model cars and slightly more power.
The CMC series has brought together some of the best, close knit, competitive drivers found in the country. Since the racecars are so evenly matched, the racing is as close, exciting, and challenging as it gets.

The National Auto Sport Association (NASA) is in its 6th full season with its Time Trial Program. Last year, we had all 11 NASA regions with full participation, with over 725 drivers nationwide. For 2009, we will continue to have full participation from our eleven NASA regions, with over one hundred ninety events nationwide. We will be having our fourth annual National NASA Championship event, this year (and in 2010) at the Miller Motorsports Park in Utah, on September 10th-13th, where we will crown our National TT Champions.
NASA TT utilizes a car classification system that is easy to understand, and gives HPDE-4 drivers a taste of competition by allowing them to compete for top lap times, in advanced, open passing run sessions, against similarly prepared cars for awards, prizes, and recognition.
In total, there are nine Time Trial classes, including one unlimited, two semi-unlimited, and six limited classes. Each region has its own Regional Championship Series that gives us our regional champions, and qualifies drivers to become eligible to compete at the NASA National Championships at Miller Motorsports Park (or Mid-Ohio). Awards are usually provided to our top-level finishers at each of the regional events. To compete in NASA TT, a driver must obtain a NASA National TT License, which requires the driver to be an advanced level driver or racer. Driver and vehicle safety are among our top concerns, and we have a pro-active safety program. Our HPDE program, that accommodates drivers of all experience levels, is the best way for a driver to become qualified to compete in Time Trial. The Time Trial program completes the NASA competition pathway from NASA-X to wheel-to-wheel racing.

SCCA
The Great Lakes Division (GLDiv) of the Sports Car Club of America encompasses Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, and part of West Virginia. GLDiv has approximately 7,000 members.

SCCA Club Racing
Club Racing is the backbone of the SCCA with a program for almost everyone. Club Racing offers the opportunity to experience the excitement by climbing into a race car and competing against other amateur drivers or working on a corner within inches of all the action.
It is a comprehensive, nationwide program featuring races held throughout the year that cater to the driver that perhaps prefers to test his or her skill on a part-time basis, rather than compete full-time on SCCA's professional circuits.

SCCA Solo (Autocross)
Solo Autocross competitions are driving skill contests that emphasize the driver's ability and the car's handling characteristics. This is accomplished by driving a course that is designated by traffic cones on a low hazard location, such as a parking lot or inactive airstrip.
