Capaldi Racing Puts Both Entries in the Top 5 at Mustang Challenge Season Opener; Earns Team’s First Mustang Challenge Podium Finish

After signing two veteran drivers to the line-up for 2010, Capaldi Racing had good reason to have high hopes for the season opening race of the Ford Racing Mustang Challenge at Homestead-Miami Speedway this past weekend. And the team had good reason to be optimistic. After qualifying, both drivers, Tony Buffomante in the #34 Capaldi Racing/Ford Performance Parts FR500S, and Steve Phillips in the #22 Old South Land Services-sponsored FR500S were happy with their cars as they qualified 4th and 6th on the grid, respectively. "This is a sign of really good things to come!" exclaimed Buffomante.
